Kon'wa! I know that this is pretty soon after the last chapter, but I want to write while inspiration is visiting. *looks at inspiration on the couch and glares.* "Get up, you baka! We have a story to write!! Standard Disclaimer Hidden Secret Chapter Seven by:Lazuli Usagi was startled to meet a solid presence. She twisted her head around, and didn't meet anything. Nothing again. She knew that Mamoru was there, though. He came to her again, and when she needed him. She smiled slightly. Was it always going to be this way? Where they always going to be on seperate sides of the world, one living, and the other not? It seemed unfair, to have two souls fall in love, and not let them be together the way it was supposed to be. She sat up slowly, and turned to where she could feel a slight breeze, where her Mamoru was supposed to be. She smiled in that direction, and reached out her other hand hesitantly, hoping to encounter something, and not just empty air. She was rewarded when she brushed a soft cheek, and she smiled, then let go her hold on his hand as well. She had to get to the school, and see if she could go back to that time, and find more of her past. Mamoru watched Usagi make her way to the school. It was time for them to go back, anyways. He was confused about all that was happening... all that had happened since he had checked out that report... since Usagi had set foot in the school. Now... there was more. He had never been Mamoru Kishuku. Somehow, that was a relief, finding that out. He was someone else, though.. and that presented a whole new book of problems... who had Yuukan been? What had he been to the forest? He felt something unseen come near him, then that *something* flickered in and out, finally resolving into the shape of a young girl, looking small and fragile. He almost fled, but something about her.. kept him there. He stared tranfixed, then whispered her name, as if to say it any louder would make her vanish from his life again. "Unmei..." Usagi made her way through the old part of the school. She knew exactly where it was, without being led. She ducked down a corridor, hoping that no one would see her coming. She wanted to... had to be alone while she did this. She wasn't sure how she fell back in the first place, but she was determined to do it again. There had to be some trick... some way to do it where she could find the answers. She had to be careful, though. She had to come *after* Usagi had vanished, but before the school shut down. She had to find Aiaka... had to ask her. She only hoped that Aiaka would not flip out too badly at seeing Usagi. She made it to the room, and her eyes took everything in with a new knowledge. Everything was the same as it had been since she was last here, but in her mind's eye, she was seeing it when she had stayed there in her past life. Mirrors along one side, paintings and tapestries... beautiful bedsheets and curtains.... Now it was a bare room, with just an empty air about it... no painting, a solitary mirror, and a bare matress in a simple frame. She closed her eyes and *willed* to be back in that room, where she had once been. She felt stifling air brush her cheeks, then a soft blanket underneath her. Her eyes grew wide. She had made it. Mamoru Kishuku paused in his pacing to realize that Usagi had done something with time that only he had been able to do at one time. She had shared in that power after spening so much time with him, but that wasn't the case now. He wondered how she managed to do it. He smiled grimly. Perhaps a little more than Unmei thought got mixed up. He wished that he could go to her, but she was now in a time that *he* could not reach. If she wanted to, she could go to the forest, and meet the past him, but he didn't want to think of what would happen should she choose that course of action. He figured that she had more important details to take care of in her life... and to resolve the past for her. Usagi quit her musing, knowing that she had a mission to fufill while she was here. She went to the wardrobe, hoping that there was something here to at least get her through the hallways. She knew that if she was caught, there would be some intresting questions... but she knew that she had to be prepared. To her relief, there were several uniforms there.. and a bunch of petticoats and stockings and even a pair of the button-up boots. She groaned inwardly. She had to put all this on before emerging from the room? She sighed inwardly, and started taking the items of clothes over the bed, and preparing for some answers. It didn't take her that long to get into the ridiculous outifit, and in fact, much quicker than she would have thought. It fit her perfectly, which was errie, but Usagi shrugged it off. She was used to much more strange happenings now. and an old uniform was the least of it. She went to open the door, but before she could, it opened very slowly from the outside. Usagi looked for somewhere to hide, and eventually dove underneath the bed, hoping that whoever cleaned the room cleaned under here, because one stray dustball would give her away for certain. Thankfully, the floor was clean enough to eat off of, and Usagi watched silently as a pair of boots came into view, much like the ones that she was wearing now. She wondered, aganist all chance, if it could be Aiaka. This would be a good time to talk to the girl, and she wouldn't even have to leave her room! She crawled from underneath the bed, and was met with a stern-faced woman who Usagi knew was *not* Aiaka. Usagi gulped and started to back aganist the bed, but the woman's reaction was very startling. She let out a ear-piercing shriek, and fainted dead away. Usagi stared, frozen, knowing that those unholy shrieks would bring somebody down to the room. She didn't have to wait too long, for she heard a quick clacking across the floor, and she braced herself for another chance to hide. She went to stand aganist the wall, trying to give the newcomer a good glance at her before she fainted, when she fell through the wall, into another bedroom. Usagi was startled, but not as much as the girl whose bed she fell upon. Usagi found herself upside down, looking at a girl who looked strangely familiar, and who had a book in her lap. Her eyes grew wide, but she didn't utter a word, just stared at Usagi. "Usagi? How is it that you came to be here? I thought... I thought that you had died....they found your body...." Usagi gulped. So she did look like her previous self. It was somewhat unsettling. And now that she was in this time... her fractured memories were becoming more clear...as if someone was presenting them to her... like a gift. She knew that this girl was Aiaka... she knew the month.. she had been there when they had found her body. And then she found herself in a new place all together.... That's the end of Chapter Seven, minna-chan! I hope you liked this chapter, and I would love feedback!!
