Kon'wa, minna-chan!! Here is the next installment of Hidden Secret. I hope that I managed to put *some* suspense in there! Remember, Laz no own Sailor Moon, but feedback is always welcome for her twisted story. Hidden Secret Chapter Eight by: Lazuli Usagi found herself ripped away from the room where she had been talking to Aiaka, and found herself back in the forest. She was about to march back to the school, when she realized that it might be better for her if she stayed where she was at the moment. After all, she had been drawn to this place for a reason. She stared at the scene in front of her, her eyes wide with shock. She realized why she *had* been drawn here. This was Mamoru's house stood, and where her body had once lain. Now she saw what they were doing. She watched as the dug up her body. She shook her head in disbelief. It was one thing to know something, but to actually see it done.... she was almost fascinated by the scene in front of her. There was actually a shocking resemblence to the girl who lay on the ground in front of the crowd, and Usagi now. Usagi could hardly believe that she had been buried for so long. She took a few steps closer, but she then heard screams of "ghost." She looked around for one, hoping that Mamoru would be...could be... nearby...but she realized in a moment that they meant her. She was startled, but she didn't blame them. Here she was, looking very much like the dead girl before them. It was no wonder that they were frightened. If she had been in their situation, she would have been scared as well. She didn't play it up though. She wasn't here to do that. She knew that her spirit was in the woods somewhere... which was a creepy thought. That the two of her existed at the same time. She decided to high-tail it out of the woods as quickly as possible. She didn't want to cause any problems. She turned to get away, get back to the school, and hopefully back to Aiaka, when a hand clamped down on her shoulder, hard. She stared into flint-blue eyes, and she shuddered with fear. For she was solid, no spirit, and somehow she got trapped in the past... and in alot of trouble. "Usagi! I knew that you had faked your own death! Who is it that lies here? Who?!" Usagi shivered. She didn't know that to say. That she had NOT faked her own death? That she had? Memories were coming faster at her, and she remembered the hospital...how she escaped... she couldn't remember anything else, though. Why were her memories of Mamoru constantly being blocked from her? She wanted to cry in frustration, escape from her, but a jerk on her shoulder reminded her of her current circumstances. "I didn't fake my own death! That is me! That is me!" She cried, and she was shaken again. Obviously, since they could touch her, and realize that she was human, they were not afraid of her. They believed her to be the real Usagi. Somehow... she had to get out of it. She quickly talked... and hoped that all her reading of those historical books, and her old memories supplied enough knowledge to get by this one. "She was like a part of me! That is Usagi! My name is Mika. Mika Demeter. I am a distant cousin of Usagi... her father and my father are related some generations back. I am amazed as you are. I come to visit my sister, and I was told that she was in the forest. So, I came to get her. My escort and I got..seperated. I've been so scared! Now people think I am Usagi! I don't know how!" Usagi started to cry, hoping that they would think she was on the verge of a faint or hysterics or something that women *did* back then. It seemed to work, for the woman relented, and gestured towards one of the men to come foward, and carry Usagi, who put all her will into her acting. "Thank you, kind sir, lady. May I ask your names, please, so I may properly thank those who saved me?" The woman nodded. "I am the Headmistress at the School for Model Girls. I was one of Usagi's teachers. I am sorry to tell you that Usagi is dead. She killed herself. I hope that your family does not grieve too badly over the loss of her. After all, society must be kept clean of it's taint of madness." Usagi nodded slowly, and then allowed her eyes to drift closed. She wished that Mamoru was here now to comfort her. Mamoru could not be there for Usagi though, although the tie that bound them together let him feel her confusion and sadness and longing for him to be there. He wished that he could jump through the link to get to her. He shook his head. She had managed to make it to the past, and she was pretty well stuck there for the time being. He knew she wanted answers about her past. He closed his eyes a moment and concentrated on her. She seemed to be relaxing more... it seemed that the longer she was in the past, the more her spirit adjusted, and the more memories that returned. He hoped that the memories of him would return soon, so that she would be satisfied, and come back to him. Usagi sat for the second time that day in her old room. She couldn't let anyone know that it was becoming more and more like she was in here everyday. Every step...it was like in the Demeter house. Like she had truly walked in her everyday herself. She prayed that this would happen, but she didn't want to be here forever, under a false name.. a life that was not her own anymore. She wanted to be back with Mamoru. She closed her eyes for a moment, and a few tears slipped from underneath the lashes. "Are you unwell, child?" Usagi looked up startled as the Headmistress seemed to appear out of thin air, with the maid standing next to her, holding a tray with steam coming from under the cover. It smelled wonderful. "We have searched for your escort and found him slain. I am sorry, child. Is there any method that we can reach your family at?" She asked. Usagi shook her head. "He was the last one that was in my family. I am all alone now." She whispered. As she spoke the words, she realized how true they were. She was all alone now. A strange look came into the woman's eyes. She clasped her hands in front of her as the maid set down the tray and left the room. Usagi knew that the mais was the only other person in this school that had seen Usagi beside the Headmistress. She wouldn't think that she wanted the twin cousin of Usagi Demeter walking around the school...looking like a ghost. "You said you have *no one* child? The main branch of the Demeter family will not take you in?" Usagi shook her head, her hair coming loose from the hasty braid she had plaited it in. "I do not wish to impose myself upon my family like that, and not so soon after Usagi's death. I would surely look like a returning spirit to haunt them if I did that." Headmistress (that was the only name Usagi was given, and she would not impart another to her) nodded wisely. "A good choice, child. I can arrange for you to be taken to the local orphanage asylum." Usagi stiffened at the word asylum, and then winced, knowing her error would be caught by the woman who stood before her. " You *are* the real Usagi, aren't you? That was your cousin in the ground... you killed her, and her escort. I will make sure you get put away for a *long* time, child." Usagi knew no more after that, for she blacked out. There! The ending of that chapter! I hope you enjoyed, and I would love some feedback!!
